A Message from the United Way

In 2014, United Way of Harrison County is supporting 30 programs through 21 local agencies. The programs funded by the United Way of Harrison County cross the life-line of our community. These programs provide mentoring and support to help children and youth succeed, they provide emergency food and financial assistance as well as shelter for those in crisis. United Way funded programs help build self-esteem thorough supported employment and sheltered employment opportunities for those who are disabled or physically challenged. We support programs that improve literacy skills, address bullying and provide counseling to families in crisis and in-home assistance for elderly and disabled.
