A Message from the 2014 Campaign Chair
When I was asked to serve as the 2014 Campaign Chair, so many thoughts ran through my mind. My
parents, Sam and Shirlene Isabella raised their five children in an environment of “giving back”; that
we are all responsible for one another, and we should help whenever possible. My involvement with
the United Way spans many years; serving as the United Way’s campaign chair seemed like a natural
progression.
Meeting the 2014 campaign goal means a great deal to many people throughout Harrison County.
More than 19,000 lives were touched by a United Way supported program in 2012; that’s nearly 30%
of our population. It is very likely someone you know was one of those lives touched. Reaching our
2014 campaign goal means programs for children, services that provide support and services that meet
critical needs will continue.
There are many good things happening in our community; yet there are challenges as well. Realizing our
United Way objectives may seem daunting. However, I truly believe that with the nearly 70, 000 people
in Harrison County pitching-in, we will be successful. If everyone gives a little, it can help so much. No
donation of funds, time, or effort is too small. Please consider doing what you can do to assist us in
reaching our goal. Give a little, Help a lot.
